Successful replantation of an amputated nose by means of microsurgical arterial repair and open venous drainage technique is presented. A 40-year-old male was injured when a piece of glass fell onto his face and resulted in amputation of the nose. An amputated nose was replanted by means of microsurgical arterial repair and open venous drainage due to absence of suitable veins in the specimen. Microsurgical replantation was attempted first with traumatic amputation of the nose. This may give a better result than any other type of reconstructive surgery.-
