| dc.description.abstract | A rapid increase in desflurane concentration induces hypertension and tachycardia and increases plasma catecholamine concentration. This sympathetic stimulation occurs when desflurane is inspired with high concentration shortly after anesthetic induction or when the inspired concentration of desflurane is rapidly increased during steady-state periods of anesthesia. We represent a case of increase of blood pressure and heart rate during desflurane inhalation in a patient with tracheostomy state. | - |
