Ventricular fibrillation (VF) is the most common cause of sudden cardiac death (SCD). Even though a defibrillator is frequently used to terminate VF, the mechanism of defibrillation remains unclear, and several hypotheses have been suggested to explain it. The remarkable development of an experimental tool can make it possible to examine the mechanism of defibrillation.-
